Another year went by...

So, here I am a year later... Did I accomplished anything from my mini 2013 list?
  1. Finish my Guardian Angel  - nope, even did not work on it
  2. Attend Stitching Retreat with friends. This time it will be in Maritimes and finally I can have that  lobster (see # 4 on my Bucket List)- nope, we were house hunting on the Vancouver Island during my retreat.
  3. Enroll in creative writing course (or something like that to improve my writing skills) - nope, but this year I'm taking Blogging 101 course
  4. Read at least 20 books (audio books do not count) - done
  5. Write the novel. - nope
Well, this year I'm setting missions for myself. Here are my top ten:

10. Work less and make more money
  9. Write and publish a real book
  8. Strive to be the woman I want to be
  7. Knock off some things from my Bucket List
  6. Look good, feel good and loose some weight
  5. Finish the Super Duper Challenge
  4. Have 1K followers on my blog
  3. Be Queen of Sales in British Columbia (I was in the Yukon)
  2. More time playing with my dog
  1. More time alone with myself

Till next time!

Oh my Lord, it's December again!

As I'm getting older months and years are going so much faster. It's mid December already and I think I should get a short version of the Bucket List for the next year. What I would love to accomplish next year? Let's see...
  1. Finish my Guardian Angel
  2. Attend Stitching Retreat with friends. This time it will be in Maritimes and finally I can have that  lobster (see # 4 on my Bucket List)
  3. Enroll in creative writing course (or something like that to improve my writing skills)
  4. Read at least 20 books (audio books do not count)
  5. Write the novel.
So long my friends,

Oh my!

I am so excited! It looks like I will be able to scratch three items from my revised bucket list! This autumn I'm planning a trip across Canada and it looks like I will have my first lobster meal with Gis, I will visit every province for at least a day and I will have more than a week just to myself. If all goes well maybe that trip will be my inspiration to write a novel...? I'm starting to plan today!

A year went by and then some...

And my Bucket List is almost same long as it was (I guess I have a long life ahead of me!). I'd got the camera, so that is off my list, and I open saving account so I'm getting a little closer to other goals.

Parsley of Seasons Of My Mind has a short version of Bucket List, just for the year 2012. I think that is a great idea so here is my list just for the next year:
  1. Work on my English skills
  2. Accomplish:  Chunkster Reading Challenge, Crazy Challenge 2012 and 2012 WIPocalypse
  3. Pass every CGA course (strive for 100% and be happy with 80 - to pass I need 65%)
  4. Get in shape!
  5. Get organized.

Saturday, May 15, 2010

I have been working on my "To do before I ..." list for a while. A long time ago, when I was in my teens, I had a list of things that I would love to achieve before I turned 40. Some I did, some I did not. Now since I'm over 40 I work on my Bucket List. Here it is:
  1. I would love to go to Canary Islands (need more money to do that...)
  2. Go to Egypt with AMORC (need more money)
  3. Get an accounting designation (I'm currently working on it!)
  4. Open my own accounting firm (I'm slowly getting there, but must have that designation first)
  5. Make a quarter of a million (in Canadian dollars) in one year. (It will be possible after I have my firm)
  6. See an iceberg (This one I think I'll be able to check off next year. I heard that I can see amazing icebergs in May just of the shore in Newfoundland)
  7. Have a lobster meal (I never ate lobster... maybe I can do that while in Newfoundland. Of course I can go to any restaurant and try it but I would love to make it very special, most awesome would be to have a lobster meal with the fishermen)
  8. Write a novel (I'm working on the skills)
  9. Have a house on the waterfront with acreage (need more money)
  10. Fly to North Pool (need more money)
  11. Own a Cadillac (need more money)
  12. Loose weight and be fit (today is the starting day, hopefully I can achieve this by my birthday - July 16th)
  13. Go to Dawson City (I'm planning this trip and hopefully I can go there this summer)
  14. Win lottery jackpot (once in a while I'm buying a lotto ticket...)
  15. Learn to swim (fear prevents me from learning)
  16. Hike Chilkoot Pass (I have to work on my fitness level first)
  17. Go to Italy (need more money)
  18. Speak Italian fluently (for that I need more time, maybe I can start very slowly now...)
  19. Go back to Poland for a couple of weeks or so (need more money and more time)
  20. Pack my bags, jump in the car and visit every single state in US (need more money and time)
  21. Pack my bags, jump in the car and visit every single province in Canada (need more money and time)
  22. I love photography and I one day I will have a very good camera (I need more money)
  23. Go to Peru and visit ancient Mayas site (again, that requires more money)
  24. Have a week just to myself (I think this one will be easy to achieve, I just need more time and a little extra money)
  25. Have a diamond ring (I'm starting to save money, from every paycheque I will put $20 to a little jar until I have enough cash to buy it)

So, that's it! Now, since I put this list in writing I can start to work on it. It would be awesome to be able to go back in a year or two to see how I did...
